Two Day Workshop - January 16, 2019 & January 23, 2019
This is Denver’s most popular and comprehensive cooking class and has been a monthly calendar constant since 2004. Chef Dan has been teaching foundational skills to thousands of students, so if you’re ready to cook with confidence, make healthier and tastier choices, and save money and time, this workshop will help you build a repertoire of essential culinary techniques. You'll cover knife skills, mise en place, sautéing, roasting, grilling, sauce making, vinaigrettes and basic pastry techniques that you can build on each time you cook and will utilize for the rest of your life. Class fee is for the two-day workshop and registration includes both days.
Day 1: Field Greens with Champagne Vinaigrette, Triangle Tip Roast with Roasted Mushroom and Shallot Ragout, Sautéed Filet of Salmon with Aioli, Rice Pilaf, Broccoli with Lemon Browned Butter, Rustic Apple Crostada with Vanilla Crème Anglaise.
Day 2: Minestrone with Basil Pesto, Classic Caesar Salad, Braised Pork Shoulder Ribs,
Creamy Polenta, Perfect Roasted Chicken with Mushroom-Marsala Sauce,
Asparagus Butternut Squash and Roasted Red Pepper Medley, Lemon Mousse.
