Interest in cooking starts earlier than ever! Thanks to television and the internet, the fascination of the kitchen is a focal point for today’s youth. Our Culinary Camps for Young People support, nurture and expand kitchen awareness and change lives for the better through fresh food. Learning basic cooking skills is the foundation for living a healthier, more well-balanced life. And a more delicious one!
The Seasoned Chef Cooking School has been successfully teaching home and recreational cooks in the Denver area for over 25 years. Under the auspices of Director and Executive Chef Dan Witherspoon, a professional chef for 39 years who has been teaching culinary skills for half of that time, young people will have the opportunity to gain confidence in the kitchen. In addition, we offer a wide range of ethnic styles and specialty cooking classes for every interest.
Students will learn the secret to all cooking: fundamental culinary techniques. Cooking is technique-driven; not recipe-driven and the students will be introduced to this vital, yet easily learned set of skills that every chef uses every day. We offer an approachable, fun environment, where kids will engage in hands-on workshops and discover the joys of cooking a range of different dishes each day!
All camp sessions run 10am-1:00p unless otherwise specified.
All camp sessions are led by an experienced Chef Instructor.
Young Chefs ages 11 and up are welcome!
Maximum attendance is 16 per camp.
Kitchen safety will be taught as well as chef knife skills in each class.
Prior to attending parent or guardian must fill out waiver and alert The Seasoned Chef to any food allergies.
Sibling discount of 10% is available for all camps. Parent or guardian will need to call the office at time of booking to receive this discount.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class to sign in.
Please make sure your Young Chef is dressed in appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes.
